1. Purpose

This policy outlines Heneghan’s commitment to embedding environmental sustainability into our governance structures and internal systems. Sustainability is integral to the success, resilience, and long-term value of our organization. This policy ensures that environmental stewardship is embedded in our strategic decision-making, operational practices, and corporate culture.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all employees, departments, and business units within Heneghan, as well as contractors and third-party service providers where applicable.

• Leadership & Accountability:
  Executive leadership is accountable for setting and delivering on environmental performance targets. Sustainability leadership will be embedded at the board and senior management levels, with clear roles and responsibilities.
• Integration into Decision-Making:
  Environmental considerations will be factored into all levels of planning and decision-making, including project development, procurement, investments, and risk assessment.
• Transparency & Reporting:
  We commit to regular, transparent reporting of our environmental performance. This includes public disclosure, internal performance reviews, and independent third-party verification where appropriate.
• Employee Engagement & Culture:
  We will cultivate a culture of sustainability through staff training, awareness programs, and inclusion of environmental objectives in performance appraisals. Employees are encouraged to identify and implement environmentally responsible practices.

• A Sustainability Governance Committee will oversee the implementation of this policy, reporting directly to the Executive Team.
• Departments will integrate sustainability goals into operational plans and report progress quarterly.
• Key performance indicators (KPIs) will be established to monitor energy use, emissions, waste, water usage, and other relevant metrics.
• Sustainability risk assessments will be incorporated into enterprise risk management processes.

5. Review & Continuous Development

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as needed to reflect regulatory changes, organizational goals, and advancements in best practices.
